This diagram shows typical procedures for evaluating the mitral valve using transesophageal echocardiography (tee). Accordingly, special attention is paid to the anatomical, echocardiographic and surgical view of the anterior and posterior mitral leaflets. Particular attention is paid to typical assessment patterns of mitral valve stenosis and insufficiency. On top are the 6 most important planes of the mitral valve view in transesophageal echocardiography.
