Coming from the anterior rami of the cervical spinal nerve roots (the lower four cervical nerves [C5,6,7,8] & the first toracic [Th1]), the brachial plexus forms a network of peripheral nerves. It extends through the interscalene gap in the neck, over the first rib beneath clavicle, and into the axilla, it supplies the chest, shoulder, arm, forearm, and hand.
