Art.Nr.: 166-L-PR-24
In addition to ventilation and perfusion, diffusion is the key component to ensure vital gas exchange in the lungs. The diffusibility of blood gases across the alveolocapillary membrane depends on various physical laws. The laws of henry, dalton, boyle-mariotte, fick and graham are presented here in context. In addition, standard values for the venous oxygen and carbon dioxide partial pressures in arterial and venous blood are listed for orientation. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25323225/
